1962 250 GTO # 3765 4 Liter

This 250 GTO was produced with a four liter engine for the 1962 24 Hours Of Le Mans where it was raced as a prototype by Lorenzo Bandini and Mike Parkes.  Sadly, it overheated due to a small off into a sand barrier.  3765 had better luck at the Nurburgring that same year where it took second place.  It was then fitted with a three liter 250 P engine by the factory in 1964.  It won the European hill climb championship in this configuration as a homologated 250 GTO.  This is one of the most important Ferrari racing cars of the 1960's!
